Need Some Advice

Recommended Posts

Was banded in late Jan, 2012. My weight loss has plateaued and I find myself able to eat larger portions. Is that the normal process? I never get to see my surgeon - just his P.A. -she makes me feel like an idiot whenever I ask her a question. Thoughts?

I know some surgeons only do surgery and have staff who do after care, while others do after care as well.

I'm not sure if you're question is in regards to the actual fill process or your current intake. Sounds like you may need a fill because you can eat more than previously able....

Not only would I do what Line Dancer said, but mention to the Dr how PA makes you feel. They are there to help you, not hinder you. Either that or find a new Dr.

dont hate me, but if you know you can eat larger portions, why are you?

Portion Control is key until you have (restriction)........tmf says b52 says that until then, its another diet...

are overeating? i eat a cup of food and focus on Protein first

i am ure i could eat more but i def use control..

lastly, you are not an idiot. you are someone trying to make themselves well

i consider that smart :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
