It was for me...I have bruised mine a couple of times by carrying things that pushed against it. I wouldn't worry about it since it has only been a few days since surgery. Things are just settling in and healing inside out.

I was banded on Tuesday and I too have a bruise on my port which makes it hurt more !

Yeah, it hurts, I am able to lay on mi side my back is still killing me. Are u guys able to walk around?

Yes walking is actually good for you! I try to walk around every hour I'm up for about 10 mins . It helps with the gas a lot!

My port area is bruised every time I get a fill for a couple of days. If I remember back that far (almost 3 yrs now), I can't remember if my port was bruised after surgery. But it is everytime I get a fill - so it makes sense that it's bruised after surgery. I wouldn't worry about it...
