I am 3 weeks post op. Last week my doctor seemed disappointed that I have ONLY lost 10 pounds. No fills yet. I actually thought I was doing ok. 72 pounds to goal weight. Your thoughts?

No offense but hes a jerk. My Dr.'s office expects 4lbs. a month and nothing the 1st 6 wks because your body is healing and that is what you should be concentrating on healing and adjusting to your new lifestyle.

10 lbs is average so maybe you misunderstood him or were you reading between the lines? That's a rather odd response from a bariatric doc?

I agree it seems a harsh response, some of us do get over anxious when we visit doctos so maybe his respnse was meant differently than how it felt to you, or maybe he is just a jerk
