I was at a meeting with a woman who lost 100 lbs with the bypass then gained it all back. she was looking into getting banded.

Gaining the weight back with bypass? Is that possible? Can you get the lap band if you get the bypass? Her insurance must be paying out the A$$! Lol

You can gain back all the weight after ANY weight loss surgery- the band, bypass, or sleeve. That's exactly why they offer band over bypass now.

I think it's great that the bypass patients have the option of band over bypass if they need it. I know singer Carnie Wilson recently had band over bypass, too.

My sister gained her weight back after bypass. She asked me to ask my Dr if he would band her and he said no. He said if she couldn't make the bypass work, odds are she couldn't work the LP.

I'm choosing the LB because you can always have it removed, but you can't put your cutout stomach back.

I do know if you're diabetic bypass cures it instantly, so that's why some people go that route.

Ohh I didn't know that at all. I just know that bypass is too serious of a surgery for me. I'm scared to get that. I'm really comfortable with Lap Band though
