Post Unfill Diet Regimen?

I go in tomorrow afternoon and I'm going to have .2 CCs taken out. Anyone know if I'll have to go back on liquids for a few days? Seems like that would be excessive since they're releasing pressure and not causing any new trauma to my stomach?

no not that i had to, but then my doctor doesnt do liquids after a fill anyways, he just says be careful.. which for me works as my band only kicks in fill wise around 2 weeks afterwards so going on liquids straight away would seem a little pointless, i recenlty had 1 mls taken out for my skin removal surgery nothing at all to do afterwards, can i ask why u having 2 cc taken out ?

Mine will put you on liquids for 12-24 hours anytime he has to mess with the band, be it fill or unfill. However, all docs are different so yours may not.

Good luck tomorrow, btw!

You shouldn't have to be on liquids for a few days. You should probably just take things slowly and easily . When I had my major unfill I got to eat soft foods as soon as I could get them down - I was ravenous at that point and then went back to "normal" eating the next day.

My surgeon requires a liquid diet after a unfil an dfill. I guess it all depends on your surgeon. I have had both and I have not really felt like eating immediately after, but when I a was over filled, it was such a relief that I did want something. If you eat, just take it easy. Just as a fill, you will be swollen, too! Karen
