Sometimes weight fluctuates a lot day to day due to water retention etc. could that be it?

I also put on 6 pounds the day after surgery. It is all fluid. On day 4 it finally went away and I am back to the weight I was the morning of surgery.

Thanks all. Concerned by the surprise of the nurses. Was overnight in hospital so was on fluids for quite a while.

don't panic !!!!!, Its from the surgery. I gained 14 pounds of fluid,I lost the fluid and then some.

It's19 days after surgery. for me and I'm 23 pounds down. Give it about 4 days and you will start dropping excess fluid and more!! ;.)

How is it going for you? It will help if you do continue to constantly drink... What they said about fluid intake is true....Try diet Peach snapple..its awesome and makes drinking fluids much easier.

Well good look and keep us posted on your progress.
