Is This Normal??

I'm day 6 post op....and I haven't weighed myself...but I don't think I've lost any weight since the surgery. My clothes are all fitting the same. Is this normal?

you could still be retaining fluid from surgery. give it a few more days.

I had the same experience. I was afraid to weigh because clothes that were a little big before surgery were a little tight after. But I decided I just had to know and to my suprise I had lost 8 pound in the first week! So I figured that I must still be swelling around my mid section. Plus I can tell I still have some water weight, because my wedding ring is a little tight as well.

this is so normal...you still have swelling from the surgery and you need to heal...don't worry about weight loss, right now...just heal and then after about six weeks you will be ready for exercise and the weight will come off...JUST FOLLOW THE RULES....EAT WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD TO EAT, AND DRINK WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD TO DRINK....YOU WILL DO GREAT....CONGRATS ON BANDING...

The first 4-6 weeks post surgery aren't about losing weight, it's about giving your stomach time to heal. Healing should be your focus right now, the weight loss will come once you're fully recovered.
