my brother was banded 8 years ago. He has done great with the band, and been very supportive of my journey. Before my surgery, he called and said a package was coming with something I would need. Assuming the best, I thought how sweet a copy of Jean MacMillan's book or something.
Today the mail came, and I now have my very own model lap band, stomach and port! Turns out he has become quite good friends with a WLS on the east coast. Gosh how I laughed!!!
I suppose it's good I bought my own copy of Jean's book.
