I told my sister this weekend that I didn't like Ace for that reason. It's just weird.

I still have to say Chris is my favorite.

I think Ace should gooooooo...he just makes me sick! He is a soap opera star in the making...Got to DAYS of our Lives, not Amercian Idol!

What are they singing tonight?

I know the guest is Rod Stewart... but I don't know what the program will be. Recently he's been doing a lot of old standards... I hope that's what the gang will be singing tonight, instead of Rod's music.

But then again, that's essentially what Barry Manilow had them do, so I'm not sure... I've just never been a fan of Rod, so I'm hoping they do - well - just about anything else.

Goodness, they are truly diggin up bones. Most of these kids have no idea who any of these singers are.

Goes back to what Mikey said about the producers needing to pick more current artist to help - INSTEAD of these older/retired ones.

My pick for bottom 3 is Kellie, Elliot :cry , and Ace ....I think Kellie might actually go this time!! When you say it yourself that you "butchered" the song....well you deserve to go. What a ditz!

I agree. Kellie, Elliot, and Ace were the worst tonite. I actually thought Katherine was the standout, I just think her expressions look like she has studied herself in the mirror for toooo long. Very posed, no sponaniety or genuineness shining through....(those are quite the words i am looking for??)

I agree, Elliot, Ace and of coarse - Miss Kelli - are my pick of the bottom 3.

Wow, I thought it was a great show tonight. They all really got to show that they are great singers. Uh, except Kellie. :wave: Bye Bye Kellie.

I agree with everyone else on bottom 3 (Kellie, Ace, Elliott). Kellie deserves to go, but I think it will be Elliott. I was disappointed that Rod Stewart was going to be the guest, but it turned out well. I enjoyed hearing the old standards... at least they didn't make anyone sing "If You Think I'm Sexy", lol.

Katharine and Paris were my favorites for the night.

Of all of the special 'gimmick' shows they've had this season, this was by far my favorite. I'm still not a big Rod Stewart fan... but I am very glad they were focused on his recent standards albums, and not his 70s stuff.

Great performances from everyone - for the most part. Kellie and Ace were my least favorite. Kellie's performance did start out ok (which I kinda hate to admit, since I'm not a fan of hers), but she just plain lost it in the middle, and never got it back. And her accent got the best of her toward the end. The last two words of the song, "am I?", sounded more like "ayuhm Ahh?" - my wife, who didn't know the song, had to ask me what Kellie had said. Spooky.

I will agree with Randy (which doesn't happen much, since all he ever says anymore is "Yo, check it out!" or "You worked it out, dude!" or "We got another hot one, baby!"), Ace's performance was only interesting when he was in his falsetto. The band's arrangement of the song was fun - I liked the quasi-latin groove they put to the song, but Ace's vocal was just plain boring.

Of the two, I sincerely hope that Kellie will be the one to go...

But as some of you have theorized, unfortunately I believe Elliott will be the one to go. In my opinion, he did a great job. For once, they didn't pitch the song too low for him, so he was able to wrap his voice all the way around it - but again I find myself agreeing with Simon. Elliott's voice didn't make up for the fact that his personality doesn't come out as much as some of the other contestants.

My faves were Katharine and Taylor - with Paris and Chris close behind. Taylor's voice was dead on - and that ending was fantastic... original, dynamic, and right on the money. And Katharine's performance was close to perfect for me.

I'm not really looking forward to hearing Rod sing tonight, but maybe it will be my lucky day and Kellie will get the boot!
