Pre-Op Diet

My surgery is scheduled for March 27. I am in the middle of my pre-op diet. Today I had a weak moment and ate a brownie. Have I messed everything up?

Everything, probably not. I would having plain chicken breast on hand for anymore weak moments. Brownies are full of carbs which most preop diets call for cutting out completely.

No, but remember why the pre-op is important.

Make sure you are drinking a Protein drink with plenty of protein. If it is low in protein, mix some more in. I purchased the costco Premier Nutrition chocolate shake, which has 30g protein. I am also allowed creamy yogurts, so I eat two yogurts and 3 shakes a day. This means I get approx 100+ protein. I do mix Fiber powder in, and chew the advanced fiber gummies.

I had half a bag of popchips today. Is that bad? My banding is April 4th so I hope to have time to recover if I did do anything non preop diet. I hope its not bad. I want this surgery more than anything. Otherwise I have been really good protein shake for breakfast light lunch and protein shake for dinner
