Does anyone use a numbing cream on your port prior to getting a fill?

My doc puts a tiny shot of lidocaine in. It stings just a bit, then I feel a bit of pressure with the fill needle. I've used the cream for other procedures before. I think it would be overkill for a fill. The needle used for a fill is just teensy tiny.

I get a shot of lidocaine as well. One time the PA didn't get me good enough with the lidocaine and I thought I was going to go through the roof when the fill needle went in. I can do pain, but man that stung.
