My Incision Is Slightly Open

My strips were almost off on there own and when I pulled one off after my shower I noticed that only one was not closed and open its small and I don't think I need to call the Dr or anything ( I see him Monday) almost like a cut its pink and watery SORRY FOR TMI My kids get bigger cuts then this.. I just put a band-aide on it . It was not the big incision but one of the smaller ones. Maybe he will put a stitch in it or just use a butterfly band aid. anyone have this happen??

I'm only two weeks post op on Tuesday.

You can get steri-strips at a drug store and put fresh ones on yourself. Do your best to have the skin together as tight as possible for smaller scars. If it heals open, the scar will be larger.

He will not put a stitch in it. I had an incision on my foot open after surgical stitches were removed. They just slapped a bandaid on it and said they only put stitches in fresh wounds of less than 24 hours.

Just be sure to keep area clean. So easy these days to get infected or MERSCA.
