You will do great...

For now, the best thing you can do is follow your Dr.'s instructions, and remember, the first 4 weeks is all about you healing and getting back to normal after having major surgery.

It is NOT about loosing weight.

Aslo, I would not take everything you read here too seriously, being a Newbie. It can make your head swim and only add to the confusion.

Have the surgery, and listen to your Dr.

I agree with B-52. It's easy to get pulled in by things that are shared on here. Although their doctors may have very good reason for what they practice, if it doesn't compare to what your doctor suggests, it doesn't mean either way is wrong. Take what you need from here (which is a lot of wonderful support), but be able to push stuff to the side too. Your dr knows more than any of us do on here :) You will do GREAT!! As I always told people before my surgery who asked me if I was scared or nervous.....I would tell them I am MORE scared about what will happen if I don't do the surgery and keep on the path I was on!! You can do it!

I agree, follow your doctors instructions, that's one thing I've really learned from being on this site. I'm on pre-op, surgery the 22nd. Excited to get it done and move forward on this journey. Don't worry you'll be fine and you'll be adding years to your life! Good luck on your journey!

Hello. Also new here, trying to figure this out. I'm pre op so anything that will help me I'd appreciate. Right now I'm logging my food eating better drinking protien shakes and quit the pop.
