Chinese egg drop soup! Lots of protein, not too much cornstarch for a restricted diet, Yummy on a cool day.

YES!! That was my "cheat" on my liquid pre op diet Very yummy, full of protein.....might have a bowl this weekend as well!

And when you don't have time to go out for Chinese, just drop an egg or two into a hot chicken broth, swirl it around with a fork until it's cooked and and some minced garlic for extra taste. That's good too. I just got some steamed shrimp and broccoli and thought about getting the soup but wasn't sure. Had two pieces of shrimp and will puree the broccoli tomorrow.

I love this soup. I was a week out of surgery and it was my Daughters 18th Birthday. We went to a japanese steak house (her request) and was wondering what I'd eat. This is very filling!

I buy the packets at the grocery store (asian isle) and add two eggs to it. Filling and warm after a fill.
