Thanks all! The biggest thing for me I think is counting calories and staying away from the sweets. I still enjoy them once in awhile but not as often as I did. I also exercise at least 1 hour a day about 6days aweek. I think that has been my formla for success. Of course the band does its job by making me eat much smaller portions!

I came on here because I was thinking the same thing. Got my first fill Dec. 8th and I've lost 24lbs since then, I have my next appt early Feb. and I wasn't sure if my Dr. would recommend another fill or not. From the looks of it, it looks like a negative.

THey asked me if I felt like I needed one and honestly I didnt so I said so. Im sure if she felt differently she would have told me!

i havent had my first fill yet and you guys talk of knowing of you need a fill .....how do they know how much to fill??

Well with yur first fill the doctor depending on his method will fill from anywhere of 0.50 to 4.0 + cc's into your lapband. This is what I have read from other peoples posts. He will test to see if you are able to swallow water or and even do an xray type test. Mine got me 6cc's and when we realized it was hard to swallow water he removed 2cc's and only did the water test. Good luck.
