For Those Already Banded..vacation?

Hi, I'm being banded February 15th! Me and my husband's anniversary is about a month 1/2 later and we were hoping to plan a getaway..but I'm wondering if I'll be ready for that..I was hoping we could go to Disney World but I'm wondering if it would be safe to ride the rides and be doing that much walking that early out and get all jolted around? If not Disney World, maybe Jamaica or Myrtle Beach...but also not sure about being banded and if airplane rides have any effects on each other..

I'm seeing my Surgeon one last time before surgery next Tuesday so I'm going to ask him about all this but wanted to get advice/opinions from y'all also! Thanks..

I was banded 2 weeks ago and am headed to Disney World in a week....have been assured there should be no worries. Even got the meal plan (whatever I dont eat hubby will)

I see a problem at all with going to Disney World, and walking, and riding the rides.

I would ask about the plane though, he might hold of on any fills in the band.

I went to Disney approximately 4 weeks after surgery and I didn't have any problems at all.

I just got back from vacation in FL. 2 1/2 months after surgery and a week after my second fill. No issue flying. My doctor suggested liquids only on the day you fly. But since I did not experience any issues, I did eat dinner. And on the way home, I sorta forgot the suggestion.

The best thing was I had so much more energy this time. No Disney this time, but I was able to keep up with my husband and do everything I wanted to do.

Have fun.
