Any Good Ones?

i was just wondering if there were any good over the counter nasuea medicine to prevent me from throwing up. i am currently 8 days post op and there are some times then i just get really nauseous. I was wondering if there was anything i could pick up from walmart or something that works well. Or any medicine that i maybe shouldnt try for some reason.

i know everyone is different and medicine reacts different to everyone but i was just asking for some input or anything cause i really have no idea what i should get from the store.

thanks so much for the help

you guys are the best

You may want to call your doctor. I haven't been nautious since surgery, but I know before when I was feeling sick to my stomach, I would take some pepto and it would help. There is tons of anti nausea medicine over the counter. I would stick to the liquid or chewables. Hope you feel better!

Might be an idea to look into why you are feeling sick, are you still on liquids ? is your body detoxing ? is it after protien shakes etc, too much sugar or salt ? , i would discuss it with your Doctor if you can as you shouldnt really be feeling this way all the time, or enough of the time to need meds. Its probably something really simple that will go away after a few more days healing but its always worth checking it out with the Doctor.

Good luck :)

My Dr. gave me Phenergine suposatories and they were a life saver.. Ask you Dr. for them

Or you could call to see if the doc would give you a scopolamine patch. It goes behind the ear. Works for a few days. Phenergan is nice too. Def call the doc!

dehydrated?

Liquid Emetrol.

I remember seeing you write before that you are still on clear liquids, and will be for 4 weeks, maybe ask your Dr if you can incorporate a protein shake or two a day? I know sometimes if I get too hungry I feel sick, maybe thats the problem.
