Hi!
Got my band done on 10-28-11 which puts me at about 2½ weeks post-op. Despite having a nasty allergic reaction to antibiotics I was given for a secondary infection, I feel great. A few days of steroids cleared the itchy, burning rash on my legs and arms right up.
Drank my Protein drinks for the first week and a half, and the doctor gave me the green light to start on soft foods last Wednesday. Scrambled eggs! Cottage cheese! Yummmy! I'm starting to move on to some more solid foods now and not having any problems, thankfully. I have to say that the focus needed to remember to eat slowly and chew completely is a little exhausting. It's working though, so I won't complain too much. As of this morning I'm down 12.8 lbs since surgery and a total of 26.8 lbs since 9/22/11. I can already see the difference in the way my clothes fit.
I'm excited to be fit and active again. Looking forward to next month when I can really hit the gym for some good workouts. Right now I'm walking every day.
