First Fill Flutters.......

I am having my first fill on Friday morning and I'm wondering if I have to fast that day? I was banded on September 8th and really excited about my first fill but I don't know if I can eat or drink anything the morning of my fill...another question, How soon can I be filled again? I heard you can have a fill every 2 weeks, is this true? I also heard that you won't feel much restriction until about the 3rd fill, is this true too? Just a bit curious to this new situation in my life. Thanks

I dont eat anything the day of my fill... Just drink. And then my doctor puts me on liquids and mushies for 24 hours. My dr also does fills once a month. I've only had one and I feel more restriction with it. But I also didn't go through bandster hell where I was hungry all the time. I didn't get a fill until 8 weeks after surgery because my weight loss slowed down. Everyone is different when it comes to fills. Some people it takes several fills and some people never even need one.

I ate regularly that day. I thought he'd tell me to stay on liquids, but he told me to eat regularly after the fill. He said he didn't give me a very big fill. I don't have restriction but I can feel my food going down, which is kind of weird. Once I thought it was going to get stuck because the food just sat there a few seconds, but then it went down. ) I wasn't being as careful as I should have been.). He told me to come back for fill #2 in 2 weeks. Every doc is different.

I got my first fill today. I was told not to eat for at least 4 hours before my fill. Then I'm to drink liquids today & tomorrow then mushy food the next then I can slowly add the solid food.
