October Bandsters!!!

Hello October Bandsters. I thought I would start us a post-op group now that we are getting ready to start out second week of banders. I know we are all going to do GREAT. We will all be loosers this month!!!! If you are having a bad day dont hold it in. This is where we can let it out. If we stick together we will go far. We can do this ladys and gents. I know we can. Set a goal for yourself and let everyone know what it is so we can help each other meet that goal.

My goal is to walk/run a 5k by one year post op. I hope to meet that before then but I am not going to pressure myself to meet a goal that is not realistic. I know myself and if I set goals I cant meet I will give up.

Good luck to all of you.

  • I finally decided to exercise. i did a Leslie Sansome dvd. I started out with the 1 mile walk and I could feel it. I think I'll do a longer walk tomorrow. I'm just so happy that I finally did it.

I went for my post op check up today and they did not have any fill appts until Dec 20th which is 7 or 8 weeks after my surgery. They won't do them at all until 5-6 weeks. I'm going to keep calling for cancellations but I am afraid I am going to be starving!

The protien helps so I will just stay away from the carbs as much as possible.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!! I am starving!! Not getting full at all when I eat. My fill is Nov 22nd. What do we do??

I suppose we are going to have to count calories and try to eat as much protien possible....without...overeating..Im at a standstill on my weightloss but Im okay I know I will stimulate it again..I just must admit I hate feeling hungry so often...

Hey fellow bandsters!!!!! hope everyone is doing well =) I have also noticed I've been eating every two hours or so and I am eating a larger portion before feeling full. However my first fill is next Monday on the 14th so I will have to continue sneaking my protein shakes in for low calorie/full feeling "eating" :P

Whoops I also forgot to mention I have reached 50 lbs lost in this journey so far!!! WOOT WOOT ** does happy dance**:Dancing_wub: :success1:

Congrats !,,,,,, Can you see a difference yet ?

Well, after hitting rock bottom yesterday with completely falling off the "Band Wagon" and eating everything in sight.. I was so miserable and felt horrible and was scared that I stretched out my band. I made a full recovery today!! I'm back on track, staying on liquids until my first fill and I am definitely NEVER doing that again!!! Thanks to everyone for their words of encouragement:)

thanks!!! not really lol but I look at myself everyday ... I see small differences when I look at my surgery day photos near my waist and I felt the loss a while ago when my pants were getting to big. I have lost one pant size but haven't gotten new ones yet so these are still really baggy =0

Congrats !,,,,,, Can you see a difference yet ?

Your a real LOSER ! If not in weight, then in inches. In your case both !

CONGRATS ! to that....

Hi my fellow oct bandsters, so I went to see my dr. yesturday and I was hoping for an early fill...heheh...No go..I have to wait until my six weeks..nov 26..I guess that is okay..he gave me full clearance to work out and Im feeling real good...Im going to start today. Yay...Hope my body starts to firm up...I feel kinda soft and not much liking it...lol....

GONNA TONE UP ....GONNA TONE UP....AND BUILD MUSCLE TO BURN MORE FAT...YAYAYYY...

Oh yeah my husband got his surgery 2 weeks after me and is 2 lbs ahead of me in weight loss....GRRRRRR MEN!!!

Hi i was banded on oct 12th things went well for a couple of weeks then found i could eat anything pizza, burgers etc. i have not had a fill so i must need it i have now put myself back on strict diet .does the fill hurt and do you have to fast or anything before.i live in australia and we work in kilos not pounds so will have to work out how much all you october banders are loosing so i can you keep everyone informed how im going

The fills do not hurt... Some Dr.s put a needle of numbing medicine under the skin, just to get a needle for the fill....

I tell them why get 2 needles ?

Just pop threw the Fat, and into the port. A slight prick, but no big deal..

Yeah. you have no fill! so you will be able to eat anything.

I see here in the states most Dr.'s give fill after fill, until you are happy.

When they really can put you under Fluoroscope, (X-RAY MACHINE) and look at your band, see your fill line, and fill you rite to it.

That's it ! your properly filled... Maybe you can get that done Down Under..

Good Luck, Shirley.

I don't get my first fill until the 22nd and I am really looking forward to it as my weight loss is at a standstill.

Went for my first fill yesterday. Didn't need it. My weight loss is going in the right direction. Next visit is in 6 weeks, sooner if need it.

Hey everyone! I am at a standstill too with my weight loss at two weeks post op but I'm ganging in there. I stayed blogging about my journey if anyone us interested http://bandipes.blogspot.com
