In-person support groups are awesome

Recommended Posts

I went to my first support group today and I met an awesome group of women in all stages of the process. Does anyone in bandland find their support group beneficial. Study shows members keep off the weight longer when active in support groups

I go to a support group at the hospital I had my surgery. The psychologist I worked with runs it. She's great. I haven't been able to go for the past few months and miss it. Will go next month for sure.

I also go to a support group at the hospital I had my surgery and my surgeon host it each month. I find it very helpful, he has great knowledge and being someone who struggled with his weight in the pass, gives him tremendous understanding of the struggles we face with food on a daily basis. I look forward going each month and have made a connection at the support group with another banster that was banded on the same day as me and we are able to share out journey's ups and downs with each other.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
