Chest PAIN!! :0(

Today is one week since my surgery. I am having horrible terrible chest pain. I have my "exit appoinment" wednesday, but I am going to the hospital where I had it done tomorrow morning instead. I am on my second bottle of liquid vicodin. I have been crying and sweating since last Thursday. Has ANYONE else had terible chest pain? I am fallowing all the rules; breathing thing, walking, eating right ect. any advice? Im not quite to the point of going to the ER, but I do have another night to make it through! :(

If you're sweating, it may be a sign of infection.

is it accompanied by a fever?

I have had chest pain for the last two days or so,

called my nurse friend and she said to drink warm/hot tea to help soothe the pressure.

Its most likely gas

(except for me since I'm PMS-ing right now as well as healing!)

I'm sorry you're feeling bad, and I'm sending you a hug through this post!

Call your doctor.

I had my doctors cell phone. Please call right away! Chest pains are serious!

Omg hope you're ok!! sad.gif

Definitely phone the Dr. That is not something to take lightly.

Making it thru the night does not sound like an option.

I just had surgery a week ago also and was experiencing the same thing only when i took deep breaths, if thats the case with u then i was told it was from the gas. They just told me to keep walking but def. call ur dr. i was scared as well

Be sure to get to us and let us know what the outcome is.

I have my suspicions, but I know enough to not question chest pain unless I am there to make a physical assessment.

Feel better soon. Hang in there. I am also a little over a week and have some chest tightness...Don't drink anything cold...and sip slowly!

HUGS!!! Please see a doctor soon.

Hello, thank you all so much for your concern. That is the support I have been looking for! :) I actualy left last night for the emergency room all the way up in Marina Del Rey, the same place where I had the surgery and where my doctor is. By the time I got up there, I decided to tough it out until I saw Dr. Kormic the next morning. To make a long story short, all of my vitals are OK, and I just have to stay ontop of my pain med dosages. I may just be more sensitive in that area than others. I still have pain, but with the meds. , its berable! :0) Thank you again, and I lost 12 lbs. in a week lol! I know its mostly water weight! :0) Im Ok and thank you so much again. Lindsay :0)

I am Ok everyone, thank you so much for your support!:)

Chest pain is an ER visit. Plain and simple. There are many things to be ruled out and a phone call to your doctor will more than likely amount to him telling you to go to the ER if it is after hours and you cannot walk into his office. Just a side question, do you still have your gallbladder?
