Stacy,

You had your fill this early? I thought it was 4-6 wks after surgery. Congrats on the weight loss! Keep it up!

Congratulations. I had my surgury on 9-1-11 I have lost 25 pounds. I had my first fill this past Wed. didn't hurt just a very weird feeling. I can see a difference now in how much I can eat and I stay full longer. I think it helps not drinking Water during my meal. I follow that to the T. My Dr. suggests no drinking 20 min before a meal none during the meal and none an hour after the meal. That has been my hardest adjustment. I hope all goes well with your surgery.

Thanks Rosie. Wow 50lbs! Congrats!

Hi Kim! Congrats on your upcoming surgery!! I am from Fort Worth, Texas and was banded by Dr. Snow on 7/26th. I have lost 50 pounds and can't wait to get to 50 more!! You will love how the lap band helps you. You still have to eat the right things but it will help you with the amounts. Good luck to you and keep us informed on your progress and remember we are here if you have any questions.

Hi Kati,

Dr. Mardsen is my doc....

Hi Kim,

I am also a Texan, living in Dallas. This seems like a good forum and lots of support, which helps make our journey easier. So who's your doc?

Well..I'm glad I saw them....because I had started the process two times and talk myself out of it......so this last time I just paid for it....lol.....that way I was stuck....and it worked out......lol....

I live in Texas as well. I'm in the Killeen area. I was banded Feb 16,2011. Good luck on Wednesday! You'll be so happy that you had this done. Good luck on your journey. Something that helped me was I took before pictures and at each month marker I take new ones. So I can see the difference from where I started.
