HELP...this isnt in my head

I am three weeks postop. I have followed the diets strictly. Im afraid to ruin such a helpful tool. However, i am extremly uncomfotable at almost all times of day. I feel heavy pressure in middle of chest down to my stomach. It feels as tho i have resriciton but i dont. I eat wisely. Liquids, mushie solids, etc. I cant find comfort despite the many ways i try to sit or lie down. I am goin into panic mode. I cant walk aroind with this feeling all the time. I dont kno how to describe it. Feels like pressure from the inside out. Is this normal? Its been three weeks, i thouhgt i was healed. Has anyone felt this and how long does it last.? I tried to rule out gas by walkong, heatting pad, lots and lots of gasx. If this is a lifelong side effect, then i want no part of it. I cant sleep, cant concentrate. Not looking forward dto my first fill because of this. Im so frustrated that paranoia is sitting in. (Did they cut my liver, is the band on incorrectly, am i healing wrong, did i do something wrong). I just need reassurance thaf i am not the oy one

It could be the port. There is swelling around the port that needs to go down, and you do have to heal there as well. It should get better.

I had that same pain but just for the first 8-10 days. Since you're so concerned, which i would be too, I would definitely call your doctor. I know the doctor's office probably thought I was annoying but I called many times the first week because I had more pain that I expected. Hope you feel better soon.

If the pressure is in your chest, it's probably still pressure/irritation from the band being placed. Even though you're healing, you're still swollen. Try to relax (easier said than done!) but yes, please call your doctor to confirm that you didn't get a fill during surgery, and that there's not something else going on. Does it hurt to take a deep breath?

I dont know what happened. But I woke up this morning and the feeling is gone !! I think I just needed to vent the frustration ! Lol. Maybe I was stressing myself out. Thanks for the reassurance ! I am now ready to face the next stage.

That's awesome! That's exactly what happened to me too... Woke up and it was gone! Glad you're feeling better!
