Hi all!

My name is Kristina and I was banded August 24th. Starting weight was 239 and I am down to 225 so 14 lbs. as of today! I am very excited about my life! These first two weeks have had their ups and downs. I have been extremely sore and very weak but I think that it could be partly due to I am having to take 40 mg. injectable blood thinner (Lovanex) twice a day for a month after surgery Just so ready to be able to get my life started again!!

How are the injections going? I wasnt to thrilled to learn that once i have to do the surgery I also have to use Lovenox. Are your needles already prefilled or do you draw it up yourself

Thanks all for the kind words! And yes, the needles are luckily pre-filled and quite easy to give! Just twice a day in my belly. I am having to do them for an entire month after my surgery (2 weeks left!). They do make me feel a little weak & tired, but better that than a blood clot! Hi congratulations! Why are you both having to do the injections of

Lovenox? I hadn't heard of anyone doing them before. I know that they are for blood clots but was it because of problems that you had pre-surgery or just a precaution?
