3 weeks post op

Hello everyone. I just found this forum and I am so happy I did. I just had my surgery on August 17th 2011. So far I am doing good but I did gain a few pounds when starting on solids. I just saw the doctor today and he said that is normal. Has anyone else experienced this? It really got me down but I have picked myself up again because this is the choice that I have made. Nobody ever said this would be easy but it will be worth it. I'm so excited to start my new life... I am 37 and have my whole life ahead of me!

it is completely normal to gain a few lbs when you begin eating solid foods again. your body is adjusting to everything, the band, the liquids, the mushy's and now solids. once you get your first fill, you will start dropping the weight. my doctor says the first 6 weeks are not about losing, it is about healing. good luck to you on your new journey.
