Post op diet ??

So I am 1 week out of surgery and have just moved to full liquids. I have been eating about 1/2 a pudding cup at a time or 4 oz of cream Soup at a time throughout the day. I just went back and read through my book again and I realized it said I should be eating a teaspoon to a tablespoon of food "at a time" Does this mean I should be having a tablespoon of pudding/soup for a meal? I'm having trouble knowing how much food I should be eating. Overall how much should I be eating in a day? and how long did it take you to transition from clear to full to pureed etc.

For example today I have eaten in total:

1-1 1/4 pudding snack

3 oz applesauce

2 oz yogurt

According to my doctor, you'd be doing great! He wants me me eating about 1- 1 1/2 cups of food 3x a day. For instance, this morning I had about 6 oz of a protein shake for breakfast, 1 cup of potato soup for lunch and about 1 1/4 cup of tomato soup for dinner. And drink plenty of fluids in between. Oh.. I had about 1/2 of a yogurt for a snack this afternoon.... And I'm 10 days post-op.

That seems like a tiny amount of food your doctor wants you eating! That's like the size of my bites!
