I have lost 30 pounds since surgery date 7-5 :) but honestly I can not tell in my body yet. I am down 2 sizes but to me I still look the same. I work out at least hour n half 5 times a week. i am averaging about 7 pounds lost every week man. I am happy but wish I could see it, instead of everyone just telling me.

You will see it, just give it time! Rapid weight loss can mess with your mind. I know for me I can't see it because I paid so little attention to my body... I didn't want to look at it before! I just have to trust my shrinking size! Congratulations by the way! :)

I didnt "see it" until I looked at a picture about 4-5 months post op of myself taken on the morning of the surgery . People were telling me they noticed when I lost 22lbs pre op.... LOL I thought they were nuts. Now I am down over 100 lbs and sometimes I look in the mirror and dont see it. Other times I do.

It may be because I still have 89-90 more lbs to go. Hopefully in about 9 more months I will see it!!! :)

Remember we are hardest on ourselves....

Look up "Body Dysmorphia" Many people have it, both the obese, formerly obese and never obese.

Hey! My surgery was May 18 and I'm down 60 lbs. I wouldn't mind losing another 40 lbs before Christimas. Everyone says that I look much thinner, but I can't see it at all. I used to be able to see it, and then my mind suddenly changed... or at least my eyes changed. All I see are the flaws. But maybe I'll be happier after 40 more lbs.

I didn't see it right away either. I had my surgery in December and I did a week pre op lost 9.8#, a week post op lost 9.2, so a total of 19#. A few days after I came back someone said to me I look like I lost weight. It felt weird. That person had no idea I had surgery (I mean any surgery). I didn't see it. Weird thing is when I started at my current job 1.5 years prior to that I weighed about, 285 or so, when I started my pre op diet I weighed 247 and no one had said anything previous about any weight loss. Maybe it's where you lose it idk. But 30# is a great accomplishment, be proud!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
