When can you have salad?

Hi: Banded two weeks ago and want to know when I can have salad. No problem eating mushies so far. Don't know if salad is considered mushie???

Salad is NOT a mushy. I hardly ever eat it anymore. If you don't chew well enough the lettuce acts like a piece of Saran Wrap over the opening!

Definately not a mushie, you can eat it when you are on solid foods. I eat salads all the time, I never have a problem with them getting stuck, but some people have a lot of trouble with them. Chew, Chew, Chew!!!

i don't eat it! My daughter, who also has lapband, has no problem. I find the lettuce is hard to chew up; try baby spinach, also, tomato skins are bad. I am not telling you to not try, but be aware! You should not eat salad on mushy diet, tho'. Karen
