a little frustrated

I was banded 3/29/11. Lost ~25 lbs on 2 week pre-op diet and have lost another 49 lbs since surgery. That's around 74 lbs which I am totally happy with although I still have more to go...the thing im frustrated with is the fact that I have lost these "pounds" but I haven't lost but maybe 1 pant size. Ugh!!!

just remember that when you don't lose pounds you will lose inches. are you doing any exercise?

74 pounds in 4 months...that's great! Don't worry about the clothing sizes. If you're anything like me all of a sudden they will start dropping like flies. It seemed like an eternity to go from a 28 to a 24 then suddenly I was a 20, completely skipped over 22 and then I skipped 18 too.

thanks everyone!

I agree with Cindy....the body needs time to figure out what the heck happened.....then all of a sudden your clothes are falling of BAM! Also you might hit a platue for 3 months but go down 4 sizes (like me)! I really wouldn't worry about it just keep doing what you are doing!

Congrats on your success! You have done an amazing job and should be very proud of yourself.

Like others said, the sizes will drop.

Have a great day!

Try some smaller pants sizes, just because you can still wear a bigger size doesn't mean a smaller size won't fit better. I've lost just about the same amount in the same time and have gone from a 20 to a 14. Some of my more elastic 18s still fit, sort of.
