Finally Turning the Corner

After a very difficult week of getting stuff down, having an Upper GI, and crying a few times, I think I am finally turning a corner towards "band life". I was getting more and more anxious as things were having difficulty getting down if they had any consistancy at all. I have lived the last 9 days on Crystal Light, Isopure, and Chicken Broth. Anything thicker (like an actual shake) just wouldn't go down without a great deal of discomfort. My wonderful doctor had me do and Upper GI yesturday which showed that everything is where it should be which relieved a great deal of worry at that point. Anyway, I am down a couple lb's and the pain is better and better. Still a little round in the middle with bloating but that too is getting better. Whoo Hoo! All I have to say for those people who bounce back and go to work after only a few days, you guys are rock stars  !!! I really needed a full week off of work!!

glad you are starting to feel better!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Apple! I'm having the same problem! My band is empty, but I can't keep anything down! I'm going for an upper GI on Tuesday. I'm glad you're feeling better! It gives me hope! Did your dr say why he thinks you weren't able to eat?

I'm glad everything looks good on the inside! Hopefully your stomach will settle down soon and let you get some food in.

My abdomen was full of air still and probably swelling as well. Things actually started to go down easier and easier once I heard that everything was OK. Maybe I was more anxious than I realized :P
