4 days post op

OMG! I have tightness in my chest and in my back by my right shoulder blade and sometime in the center of my back. I have tried Maalox and gas x and walking nothing is working I am miserable. I really wonder if I will ever feel like myself again.

I too had severe gas.... Maalox seemed to help a lot but in all honesty walking was the best fix. I am not talking about walking a marathon... just walk around the house. I went for my post op visit 5 days after surgery.... they told me I wasnt walking enough. So I went home and started walking from the kitchen to the front door.... my hubby said i was wearing a hole in the carpet.... but within a few days I was much more comfortable.

you will feel like yourself again.... you just had surgery... give it time. It gets easier... I promise.B)

It's true, walking is the key. I've been walking about a mile a day since I got back from surgery three days ago, and my gas pains are gone. Granted, I was walking a lot before surgery, so I don't expect everyone to do that, but the point is, the more I walk, the more the gas pains go away. You'll get there!
