What is the point of liquids for 24 hours after being filled? I was able to have some mushy food and was just wondering if this was ok...hope so.

A fill can cause some swelling (like you had after surgery) so the liquids are to give the swelling time to go down. Also, you can look at it as a little "jump start" to your weight loss...

My surgeon doesn't require any kind of liquid diet after a fill. He says I can eat whatever I feel comfortable eating. I have had 5 small fills for a total of 4.75 cc's and have done the liquid diet for 2 days and also eaten solids afterwards. I didn't have any issues with both ways, but vickyd is right about the liquid diet jump start weight loss. I usually lose the largest amount of my monthly weight loss after a fill, then it slows down the next 3 weeks. Good luck to you on your journey

I got my second fill yesterday and I'm on liquids until MONDAY!!! I hate this part! But I do LOVE the weight loss afterwards!
