3 1/2 weeks out and weight is yo-yoing

Hi everyone! I'm 3 1/2 weeks post op and have been on solid foods for the past week. I've been following the 3 meals a day 60+g of protein and exercising throughout the week. My weight has been fluctuating up and down by 5lbs every other day and can't seem to break this cycle. I go for my first fill on May 23rd and hoping this will help a little. I've read a lot of posts about not worrying about weight loss right now but it's so frustrating when you do things the right way and you still get punished for it. Sorry for venting but was just wondering if anyone else is/has gone through this.

Your body takes 6 weeks minimum to heal. Stay off the scale or drive yourself crazy. Your body isn't going to shed pounds after it just underwent a highly invasive surgery. You may feel good on the outside but internally you're still healing; proper healing requires nutrients and calories.

Thanks for your feedback Reverie! I'm sure I've read that several times I guess I was to stubborn to believe it since I am pushing myself to eat right and exercise. I guess the best bet is to hide the scale for now. I hope to see some results soon. Thanks again!

Totally in the same boat as you right now. I am in my third week and I gained back 2 lbs. I have been hitting the gym and I am going to try and not weigh myself until sunday. I was obsessing with the scale and the weight. I don't get a fill until 6/8/11 so I can't wait for a little restriction. I am just so hungry all the time. and working out makes me hungier! Good luck to you though, I know what you are feeling!
