Probably did too much too soon. I wasn't cleared to do anything but walking for 6 weeks. Let the area rest and use a heating pad. If it doesn't go away, call your doctor.

thanks a lot.swelling and pain are less...hopefully it will go away..

I have been having pain around my port area too with some swelling. It usually gets better with resting. I asked the dr about it, but he said not to be concerned that there was a lot of pulling in the area of the port and that he sewed it in there so there is healing to do. He did also tell me that I can start exercising more to get my pulse up, but overall I have done pretty well with the surgery. Hope this helps!

Thanks so much!! I was a bit worried!! Cause my doc is far away and I am not to keen to go.

It also might be because i had 2 threptin biscuits....kind of heavy for digestion isnt it...

Personally, I agree it was too soon for most exercize. You probably shouldn't do anything but walking, maybe some jogging. Nothing strenuous, and no sit ups, palaties or anything like that until after approved by your surgeon, probably after 6 week check up. Karen
