Stress in our Lives

Hi bandsters

Thought I would start a new thread that shows what happened when you get off track with the stress in your life. For the last 6 months I have beening caring for my 85 year old mother, who died in the end of January 2011. I gained 39 lbs in that time period, by not eating the correct foods and stopping my exercise. Now I'm going to fight my way to

one-erland. If any of you would like to join me please tell of your struggles which caused you to gain and then everyday we will post the positive things we are doing to get this weight off.

I'm starting today using my little tony 3 times for 10 minutes each. I am also going to drink 8-8 oz glasses of Water.

Hi Fluff! I'm going through the same thing. I lost 50 and put on 20. So good luck to us both. I'm lost as to what my next step should be; what diet (food plan) I should be on, how to start exercising again.

I'm in the same boat lost 75 gained 15 can't get started back on the right track. Banded for 5 years and love it, the best thing I've ever done!! I think I need accountability!! I'm addicted to sweets!!!

I'm going thru the same thing been banded for 5 yrs. I lost 75 and have gained 15 in the last few months. I'm addicted to sugar and can't seem to get back on track it all started from stress! I need accountability and have to learn to deal with stress differently. Help!!

I am also in the same boat! I have been banded for 6 years and lost 112 lbs and regained 66. I went to Weight Watchers and lost 40 but the last 6 months I have not been doing well and gained back 13lbs!!! I need to get back on track. Started exercising and drinking my water and eating my protein and tracking my food. Lost 2.5 lbs this week but I still feel off balance need motivation! Help!

I've been banded for only 9 months and I was doing great, until last month and I gained 10 of my 70 pounds back. I know it's stress, but I have to find a way to get back on track. On one month my life went crazy....mom rediagnosed with cancer for the 8th time, brother going through a horrible divorce, and I got a new job! I'm thinking about going back on liquids for a week, but that's going to be a challenge. We all need motivate each other. I sure need some help and encouragement.

I have heard it suggested when you get off track to go ahead and do the 5 day pouch test to get your head straight again.

Well started off today with a good start, I worked out this morning before I did anything else!! Going to try to workout everyday this week. Next big thing is to get in enough protien, that's a hard one for me I'm not a big meat eater. Hope everyone is doing well and have a great week!!
