Hello everyone.

I'm new to this site (although I've been lurking for about a month). The Q&A is very helpful. I'm confident in my decision to get banded, however I am concerned about the visibility of the port. I'm having a single incision surgery through the belly button (which is where the port will be placed. Does anyone else have their port placed in that area? If so, is it visible. Whether or not it's visible really won't make a difference, but I'm very curious about this.

It will be under the skin. When you lose weight you might see a bulge under your skin but it isn't visible really. Ask your doctor to install a low profile port.

I can feel it, but I cannot see it. It might show a little when I get the rest of my belly off, but right now I cannot see it.

mine is near my belly button i can't see mine but if i push down i can feel it.

each persons stomach looks different with the port. My stomach really showed the port even though I am not at my goal weight yet.

I have since had the port moved (it was even a low profile one) and the bump is now gone.
