Weight Loss after Surgery

I've seen other topics on here where people are saying its normal or even typical for people to gain weight the first few days or weeks after surgery. I've lost 7 pounds since my surgery on Tuesday. It was 2 pounds yesterday morning and then 5 pounds this morning. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Not taking in enough fluid, etc? I know everyone may be different, but I'm just scared of doing something wrong. I definitely hope its a sign of more to come, but I wanted someone else's opinion.

You're doing fine. Your body us probably getting rid of all the stuff they pumped into you through your IV plus more. Don't worry... It can come off really quick but I suspect you'll level off in two weeks or so. Best wishes!

I was banded on Monday the 14th and have lost 9lbs since my weigh in the morning of surgery. I am having a hard time telling when I am hungry. I am having to basically set a clock to eat. I don't want to go into starvation mode. I get 3 Protein shakes and 3 "meals" still on liquids.
