Getting banded Friday 2/25/11

Hi! I am scheduled for surgery on Friday the 25th @ 8am. I am now reading how after 2 1/2 - 3 years the band leaks and needs replacing but nothing on who pays for that or if its replaced by the company, etc,etc. Can or does anyone have any info on this?
