2 days in soft/mushy stage

Hello Lb Family,

I am 2 days in the soft/mushy stage and having a hard time eating. This morning I could only eat 1/2 of the 1/2 of cup of oatmeal I had for Breakfast. I want to drink more than eat. What do I do? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what foods I can eat in the mushy food stage.

I'm also in the mushy stage and I've been eating yogurt a lot. I've also tried homemade applesauce and for dinner, I'm just eating what I make for my family and mushing it up. I have not tried any red meat as of yet.

I just started introducing mushie foods and so far i have been able to eat mashed potato (about 1oz) and cottage cheese / no fat -small curd ...also about an ounce. It took me 30 minutes both times to eat it. I am chewing like a maniac and trying to get the food to almost baby food consistancy before swallowing. I am still on liquid but am going to try apple sauce today then tomorrow will try to reduce the liquids. I am 2 weeks post op and agree that the liquids have been easier and I amtempted to just stay on them because I am losing at a nice pace but know I have to introduce solids.

I'm with you all. Day 3. I made corned beef and cabbage last night. Here's the recipe
