Need Help and Support

I have not posted here in years! I got my lap-band March 08 and I have lost only like 60 lbs. I have figured out what foods I can eat and I'm really bad about those liquid calories. I want to lose more but I don't think that I need a fill because I'm still tight in the mornings and usually tight until the evening. But of course Cookies, chips do not get stuck:( I really need some support and suggestions for getting back on track. Plz help me!!!!

Maybe you really need to see a therapist. You know, beyond that psyc eval you did before surgery. As you know sometimes there are other underlying issues that contribute to overeating and making bad choices. It sounds like you have not changed your behavior and possibly someone could help you deal with that. I know that in the beginning I was mentally starving, but physically not hungry. I think it can go the same way for junk food. Perhaps it is not the food but the behavior. I really hope you find a way to get back on track for you. You went through so much to got banded, now is the time to use it as a proper tool. I offer you any support you need.

You have to remember that the lap band is just a tool. Like diet and exercise, none of it works alone. I would say maybe you do need a fill actually because I am losing weight right now and if I have more than a few bites of anything I will throw it up. If you're eating slow and steady throughout the day maybe you need new activities or more exercise to get your mind off the food.
