8 hour car trip 2 weeks post-op

Given Dr. Fielding's December schedule and mine, the best I could do is dec.4.

We have had a week long ski trip to Vermont planned with our 3 granddaughters,

7,3, and 1 for December 20-26 for months. It is an 8 hour car trip to get there

plus I am designated babysitter for 1 year old while everyone else skis. I am trying to decide if I should postpone to January or go ahead. I know there is no crystal ball for how I will feel, but would love insights/recommendations from

those who have been through the surgery. Thanks for your help!

My doctor is 8 hours away from me and I had to go back weeks later for a check up. We stopped a few times and stretched, i packed band friendly post op foods with me and Gas-x strips and a pillow, it wasn't bad for me at all. But everyone is different. Try and think ahead to make your trip as comfortable as possible (we have a big pick up truck so I brought a step stool to be able to hop in and out easier). I personally was off my pain meds after 3 days and felt almost 100% after a week. Good Luck!! :)
