Hi everyone!!

I have been lurking for a while but now I officially have a date so I decided to say hi. Getting banded in January. Super excited but nervous as hell. I have never been thin so it's hard to wrap my head around that idea. I wish I had old thin pics or something where I could look back and at least see what I looked like so I feel like I'm flying blind. Anyway I'm looking forward to talking to everyone.:)

Hi Rosebud! :) Welcome to LBT, I'm a pre-op gal as well, my date is December 23rd. I know what you mean about flying blind, I've been overweight my entire life as well. Are you going through insurance or self-pay? :crying: Tell us all about ya!

Well even though you don't know exactly what you'll look like thin, know that you're going to look great!!!

Congrats on your surgery date! How exciting :) Stick around on LBT - lots of great information and also its a great way to keep yourself accountable! food logging has also been invaluable to me (I always say, when I'm not logging my food, its because I don't want to think about what I'm eating :)). I use fitday.com to track my food - check it out!

Good luck with everything!

to Ronnie...i live in Houston but i am having surgery in Mexico. I am self pay because although my insurance says they cover it, there are to many stipulations that i can't meet. I have 4 kids, 2 are grown and out with 2 left at home.:) I work seven days a week mainly because I'm saving money to help pay for my surgery and also because being a dental assistant in houston doesn't pay well. Anyway that's about it. Love all the feedback.
