Help! Can't stop burping - 2 weeks post surgery

I had gastric band surgery 2 weeks ago. I have pain between my breasts and find I have to burp to try and relieve it, the pain goes through to my back. This is so uncomfortable and painful. I tried to make myself sick to feel better and all that did was bring up more air.

Can someone please help me with this as I am going round the bend. I had an adjustment in the 2nd week as I had this pain previously. I can't afford $160 a visit to the surgeon every time this happens.:)

I just had to burp a lot to get rid of it. Try walking around to move it around...

Hi,

Is it possible you could go to the chemist to get something to relief gas?

You had surgery two weeks ago and already had a fill? How are you with eating and drinking? Are you burping after eating or drinking?

.

I was banded on 10-13 and have this same pain. The thing I figured out this weekend that helped a LOT for me was maalox and WAY smaller sips and bites. I still had this pain today when I took a big drink or to big of a bite but overall my day was 75 percent better. Hope that helps, I know your pain.
