I got my approval from bcbs boston yesterday and it feels great....it has been about 5 weeks since my paper work was submitted, but i am on the journey to a new me.....count down to my new life.

Good good good for you! How exciting! Question, how much weight did you loose in the pre op diet? I am going in for my 5th month weight in this coming Monday and I don't think I have lost enough weight to satify the insurance company. I have BCBS

I have not started my diet as of today, but I have lost about 13 pounds on my own.

Congrats! I'm still waiting on clearance reports to sent to the surgeon. Hasn't been submitted to the insurance company yet.

That's great....My surgeons office submitted my paperwork on October 12 and today the insurance specialist at the surgeons office called me and told me the the Medical Director approved it and my insurance will pay 90%! I'm so excited. I go to meet with the surgeon on Wed, October 27th. to do paperwork and set a date.

Congrats! I go in December 8th!

I signed my consent forms and all appointments are done for me so I am hoping that insurance approves everything and I get a date during Thanksgiving week, due to time off work and vacation time. If not, my Plan B is during Christmas week.

Are you more excited than scared? It is a new journey and I am so ready, too.
