winter squash ??

Since this is my first fall/winter with my band I really didn't think about eating one fo my favorite foods....acorn squash. I was wondering if anyone has been able to eat winter squash with their band?? I'm asking ahead of time to prevent being stuck :smile2:.

Thanks in advance,

Kristina

One cup of acorn squash has 83 cals, 3 gr protein and 28% of the daily fiber needed. I eat squash as a snack instead of at a meal. I want that entire cup of it and cannot fit as much in after eating protein.

My nutritionist says winter squash is ok, but to take it easy on it as it is higher in carbs than summer squash. Instead of 1/2 cup (like I do other veggies), I'd eat 1/4 cup or less.

Moderation in all things. :smile2:
