Heartburn?

I'm almost 2 days post-op and have the worst heartburn feeling but I'm not taking in anything that would cause it, any ideas what it is or what I could do? My doctor put me on Aciphex to treat acid and gastroesophageal reflex but apparently it's not working. B)

it's one of the things my surgeon warned about... sometimes the band causes horrible reflux... for many people it gets rid of it, but for a few it makes it worse. it was a risk I was willing to take and luckily my reflux has completely gone away (knock on wood).

Call your doc, let them know how bad it is and they may up your dose. A lot of people end up taking 2 reflux pills a day. Sucks, and I'm sorry you're having this problem

Besides the medication from my surgeon, I used GAS X- it was a life saver. It also helps to put a heating pad on your stomach or left shoulder.

And dont forget to walk, walk, walk !

I does get better...promise

Good Luck:thumbup:
