Goal Setting

Hello Everyone. So I was banded on Aug. 25th I went in at 282 lbs. At my last doctor's visit on Sept. 13th I was at 262 lbs. I have my first fill scheduled for Oct. 7th.

I want to reach a goal of 230 lbs by Nov 12th. Do you guys think its possible?

I think it's absolutely possible. I started close to you at 273lbs and lost over 30lbs in 8-10wks before the surgery. I've lost about 25lbs since the surgery with no restriction/fills yet. I also walk 5miles 4x a week.

If it really want it, you can do it.

Thanks for the reassurance Amy. Question how long does it take you to walk 5 miles?

I think it's borderline realistic. I lost an average of 10 pounds a month in the beggining. Start working out if your not already- it will work wonders toward getting to your goal. Good luck!

You should expect to lose one to two pounds a week. Anything on top of that is an added bonus.

Don't set unrealistic goals for yourself and then be disappointed.

That said, it definitely is possible, but there are no guarantees.
