Holy Cow!

I am new to this site and I have to share a huge victory for me today! I was banded on October 10 of this year and I had extremely high everything. I had my cholesterol tested Monday and I have cut my numbers by over half. I went from a ratio of 8.4 to 3.8!!!!! I am amazed! I will have another victory to hold onto on bad days! I am so happy and relieved! Had to share it with you guys! hopefully the blood pressure numbers will start to drop soon! By the way- this is a great site!!! You guys are so wonderful to each other. I am glad I found you!

Yaaahoooo!! Congratulations, Leigh Ann. That's the best part of being banded, the NSVs!! You are truly inducted into the NSV club. :)

Okay, am loving this post!!! Good for you! I personally love the name, although I spell mine LEE ANN!!!!!!!!

what were your before and after numbers???

  • Author

Lee Ann,

My before numbers were as follows:

Before After

Triglycerides 1142 451

Total Chol. 292 126

HDL/CHol. ratio 8.2 (extremely high risk) 3.8 (average risk)

As you can see, wow what a difference! I still need to work on my triglycerides but wow! I am going to have bloodwork done again in three months. I hope that it only gets better! If I had any doubts about this, I can see now I definitely made the right decision. The best of luck to you!

Wonderfull, isnt it amazing what our bodies can do? Good Job!!
