I am going to get the band on august 17 in Tijauna. I am very nervous and have been thinking of it for about 18 months my insurance would have paid for RNY but I just could not do that one. To scary for me. Pray all will go well for me.:party:

OH thank you so much emmelouwho, may yours go extrememly well too. I have been reading everything I can and trying to stay on this low carb hi protein till I get there. that is supposed to help. I am trying to drink sips of water all day and not gulp it down, thanks for responding,sure appreciate it.

I was just wondering where you were going to get banned? I am going down on the 14th and leaving the 17th. I will be praying for you. I am super excited and have been on this forum off and on all day because today is a stressful day for the liquid diet for me. I just come on here to read and take my mind off the hunger. So good luck and keep in touch.

Dr Cordova I believe is his name. I am getting very nervous and tomorrow I am going to start the diet that was sent to me it is hi protein low carb.

Oh wow, same day, I am so nervous and my husband is very worried, when I first told my girls last april they flipped so I put it off, I am going to tell them when it is over so they won't fret so much. Where are you going to have the the surgery?

I'm going to TJ on Aug 26th and am getting banded by Dr. Jose Rodriguez at the INT hospital... Good luck to the others who are going down south...And good luck to everyone else for that matter.

I can't remember if i answered yet but going to hospital angeles,Dr Cordova, and my husband is going with me.

That is awesome. I am not quite sure how or why but they are doing mine on a Saturday. I have a 2 week liquid diet and today has been a little easier for the cravings but oh my am I getting sick of the options. I would have loved to only have 7 days lol. It doesn't help much that every time I turn around someone else in my house is cooking something different. So my new found love is gum. Really helps with the food aspect of it all. I can not believe in 6 days I will be in Mexico, banned and beginning this process of a healthier life with the changes I am making. So yay for all of us.

I am so nervous excited,and scared about this banding, I have been eating very light for a week and staying kinda hungry now today for 7 days I am going to follow the diet given to me and it is liquid and hi protein bars and if i must a piece of chicken, an egg of low fat cheese. I hope I survive work this week. I will have only one week off and I sure hope that will be enough.

To feel well enough to return to work at that time.
